Intramammary syringe for lactating cows
Composition
Each intramammary syringe contains:
Ceftiofur (as Hydrochloride) 125 mg
Indications & target animals
It is used for the treatment of clinical mastitis in lactating cows caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria sensitive to ceftiofur, especially Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus dysgalactiae, and E. coli.
Subclinical mastitis:
It is used for the treatment of subclinical mastitis in lactating cows caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria sensitive to ceftiofur, especially Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus dysgalactiae.
Administration & dosages
Wash the teats and surrounding areas with warm water containing a suitable antiseptic, then dry well and completely empty the udder. Afterward, disinfect the teat end with a suitable alcohol-based disinfectant, then infuse the product directly through the teat canal at a dose of one syringe per affected quarter, once every 24 hours for up to 8 days, depending on the severity of the infection.
Massage the udder several times to facilitate the distribution of the medication within the mammary alveoli.
The syringe is for single use only.
Withdrawal period
Meat: 2 days.
Milk: 72 hours (or 3 days).

Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 15 – 30°C
