Dosage form Intramammary syringe Composition

Each syringe contains:

Cefapirin (Sodium) 200 mg.

Indications & target animals Mastiperin intramammary infusion is indicated for the treatment of bovine mastitis caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria susceptible to cefapirin. Cefapirin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic with notable efficacy against Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillinase-producing strains) and Streptococcus agalactiae. Administration is recommended at the first signs of bovine mastitis. Administration & dosages Intramammary Infusion Administration in Lactating Cows
Mastipyrin intramammary infusion is administered at the first signs of inflammation. Completely milk out the udder, then wash teats with warm water containing a suitable antiseptic, followed by thorough drying. Disinfect the tip and orifice of each teat with 70% alcohol. Administer one syringe of Mastipyrin directly into each affected quarter. Repeat the dose once after 12 hours. Gently massage the udder upwards several times to facilitate drug distribution within the mammary alveoli. Avoid milking for 12 hours post-administration. Each syringe is for single use only and should be disposed of properly after use.
Withdrawal period Meat: 4 days.
Milk: 96 hours.
