Intramammary syringe for dry period
Composition
Each 10g syringe contains:
Cephalexin (benzathine) 250 mg, Neomycin (as sulfate): 250 mg
Indications & target animals
NeoLex is indicated for the treatment of bovine mastitis in dry cows. Its efficacy targets both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria susceptible to Cefalexin and Neomycin. Specifically, it's effective against Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillinase-positive strains), Streptococcus species, and Enterobacteriaceae. Corynebacterium species.
Administration & dosages
For lactating cows, a single-dose intramammary infusion is administered per quarter following the last milking before the dry period.
Procedure: Complete Milk Evacuation: Ensure the udder is completely emptied of milk.
Teat Preparation: Thoroughly wash and disinfect the teats and surrounding area with an appropriate antiseptic, then dry them completely.
Infusion: Administer the entire contents of one syringe into each quarter.
Massage: Gently massage the treated quarter upwards several times to facilitate even distribution of the medication.
Disposal: Each syringe is for single use only and should be disposed of in a sanitary manner after use.
Withdrawal period
This product is exclusively administered to lactating dairy cows during their dry period.

In a dry and dark place at 15 - 30° C.
