Dosage form Injectable solution. Composition Indications & target animals Combomec Prolonged is used for the treatment and prevention of internal and external parasitic infestations susceptible to ivermectin and abamectin in cattle and sheep (not producing milk for human consumption). This specifically includes gastrointestinal and pulmonary nematodes, eye worms, mites, warbles, and sucking lice.
Sheep: Haemonchus contortus, Trichostrongylus vitrinus, Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Strongyloides papillosus, Psoroptes communis ovis.
Cattle: Ostertagia ostertagi, Haemonchus placei, Cooperia spp., Oesophagostomum radiatum, Dictyocaulus viviparus, Psoroptes ovis.
Administration & dosages Administer by subcutaneous injection in front of the shoulder blade. Shake the bottle well before use.
Dosage: Cattle and Sheep: Administer as a single dose of 1 ml/50 kg body weight.
(Equivalent to 450 µg Ivermectin/kg body weight and 250 µg Abamectin/kg body weight).
Withdrawal period Meat: Cattle: 120 days, Sheep: 70 days.
Do not administer to cattle or sheep producing milk for human consumption, even during the dry period.
