Composition
Each 10 g syringe contains:
Cephalexin (as monohydrate) 200 mg – Kanamycin monosulfate 100,000 IU
Indications & target animals
Kanaflex is used for treating clinical mastitis in lactating cows caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria sensitive to cephalexin and kanamycin, specifically: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus species (including Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Streptococcus uberis), and Escherichia coli.
Administration & dosages
Intramammary Infusion Administration in Lactating Cows
In lactating cows, thoroughly empty the udder. Clean and disinfect the teats and surrounding area with an appropriate antiseptic, then dry them well. Immediately post-milking, infuse one syringe of the preparation into each affected quarter via the teat canal. Repeat the dose every 24 hours using the same method. Gently massage the treated quarter upwards several times to facilitate drug distribution. Each syringe is for single use only and should be disposed of properly after use.
Withdrawal period
Meat:10 days.
Milk: 5 days.

In a dry and dark place at 15 - 30° C.
