Injectable solution.
Composition
Each 1 ml contains:
Ceftiofur hydrochloride 50 mg, Ketoprofen 150 mg.
Indications & target animals
Ketofur is a compound combining a broad-spectrum antibiotic with a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It's used to treat Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD) caused by ceftiofur-sensitive bacteria like Pasteurella multocida and Mannheimia haemolytica, and to alleviate associated clinical signs such as inflammation and fever.
Administration & dosages
via intramuscularly.
Dosage:
Cattle: 1 mL / 50 kg body weight, intramuscularly, daily for 3-5 days depending on clinical response. Do not inject more than 13 mL per injection site.
It is advisable to complete the treatment with a ceftiofur-only preparation once clinical signs of inflammation and fever subside after the third day of treatment.
Withdrawal period
Cattle: Meat: 8 days, Milk: None
Storage
In a dry and dark place at 15 - 30° C.
