Dosage form Injectable solution. Composition Indications & target animals This product is used in cattle, horses, goats, sheep, dogs, and cats for all cases requiring sedation, including:
• Handling fractious animals during:
o Transport
o Medical examinations (e.g., X-rays, bandage removal, udder/teat examination, penis/prepuce examination, oral cavity examination)
• Preparation for minor surgeries and painful therapeutic interventions.
• Premedication prior to local or regional anesthesia.
Administration & dosages intramuscularly (IM), intravenously (IV), or subcutaneously (SC) depending on the animal treated.
• Cattle: IM: 0.25-1.5 mL/100 kg body weight (BW)
• Horses: IM: 0.1-0.25 mL/10 kg BW
• Sheep: IM: 0.1-0.25 mL/10 kg BW
• Goats: IM: 0.025-0.1 mL/10 kg BW
• Dogs: IM: 0.05-0.15 mL/1 kg BW
• Cats: IM: 0.15 mL/1 kg BW
Pre-administration Precautions
Ensure the animal is recumbent to prevent inadvertent aspiration of gastric contents during anesthesia. Fast the animal for several hours prior to administration. Always read the package insert before use.
