Dosage form Intramammary syringe for dry period Composition

Each syringe contains:

Cefapirin 300 mg.

Indications & target animals This product is indicated for the treatment of mastitis in lactating dairy cows during the dry period (at least 30 days pre-calving), caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria susceptible to Cefapirin. It exhibits prolonged efficacy, particularly against Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillinase-positive strains) and Streptococcus agalactiae. For optimal efficacy, completely milk out the udder prior to administration. Thoroughly wash and disinfect the teats and surrounding area with an appropriate antiseptic, then dry thoroughly.
Slowly infuse one syringe of Parenteral Dry Cow intramammary infusion directly into each quarter via the teat canal, one time only. Following administration, gently massage the udder upwards several times to facilitate even distribution of the medication within the quarter.
Each syringe is for single-use only; dispose of the empty syringe properly after use.
Withdrawal period Meat: 42 days.
Milk: from treated cows is subject to a 30-day pre-calving withdrawal period. Following parturition, milk should not be consumed for a minimum of 72 hours.
