Composition
Each 100 ml contains:
Oxytetracyclin (Dihydrate) 300 mg.
Indications & target animals
Tetravet 30 Prolonged is used in cattle and sheep to treat systemic, respiratory, and localized urinary infections caused by oxytetracycline-sensitive bacteria such as Pasteurella, E. coli, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Mycoplasma, Rickettsia, Protozoa, and Chlamydia. It is effective in treating pasteurellosis, pneumonia, foot rot, wooden tongue, mastitis, metritis, navel/joint ill, enzootic abortion in ewes, and infectious ovine keratoconjunctivitis.
Administration & dosages
Administer via deep intramuscular injection.
Dosage:
Cattle and sheep: For a 3–4-day efficacy, administer 1 mL per 14 kg body weight. For 5–6-day efficacy, administer 1 mL per 10 kg body weight. Do not inject more than 15 mL per injection site in cattle and 5 mL in sheep.
Withdrawal period
Cattle:
Dose 1 mL/14 kg BW: Meat withdrawal: 28 days; Milk withdrawal: 10 days.
Dose 1 mL/10 kg BW: Meat withdrawal: 35 days; Milk withdrawal: 10 days.
Sheep:
Dose 1 mL/14 kg BW: Meat withdrawal: 28 days; Milk withdrawal: 8 days.
Dose 1 mL/10 kg BW: Meat withdrawal: 28 days; Milk withdrawal: 8 days.
Storage
In a dry and dark place at 15 - 30° C.
