Composition
Each 5g syringe contains:
Ampicillin (as sodium) 75 mg, Cloxacillin 200 mg
Indications & target animals
Ampiclox is utilized for treating bovine mastitis in lactating cows. It targets both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria susceptible to ampicillin and cloxacillin. Specifically, it is effective against: Staphylococcus species, including penicillinase-producing and non-producing Staphylococcus aureus. Streptococcus species, including Streptococcus agalactiae and Streptococcus dysgalactiae. Escherichia coli. Corynebacterium species.
Administration & dosages
Intramammary Infusion Administration in Lactating Cows
For the treatment of intramammary infections in lactating cows, the following procedure is recommended:
Preparation: Completely milk out the affected udder quarter(s). Thoroughly clean and disinfect the teats and surrounding area using an appropriate antiseptic, then dry them completely.
Administration: Immediately post-milking, administer one syringe (5g) of the preparation into each affected quarter via the teat canal. Repeat the dose every 12 hours, for a total of three administrations per affected quarter.
Dispersal: After infusion, gently massage the udder in an upward direction several times to facilitate even distribution of the medication within the quarter.
Disposal: Each syringe is for single use only. Dispose of the empty syringe hygienically after use.
Withdrawal period
Meat: 4 days.
Milk: 72 hours.
Storage
In a dry and dark place at 15 - 30° C.
